Sydney estate agent Monika Tu, who specialises in selling to wealthy Chinese clients, has revealed the “undiscovered treasures” on her property radar
Tu expects to sell AU$200million worth of luxury Sydney homes this year. While the harbourside mansions of Mosman, Vaucluse and Point Piper remain highly desirable to her customers, she believes there are new hotspots that will appeal to her client base.
“At the moment we have some big record sales in Castlecrag – we can make that area desirable,” says Tu, who focuses on properties in excess of AU$5million.
Eastern suburbs including Rose Bay and Bellevue Hill remain favourites among Chinese buyers but Tu names Upper North Shore suburbs such as Killara, Pymble, Turramurra and Wahroonga as emerging hotspots in the AU$5million to AU$8million range due to their proximity to good schools, while Cremorne, Hunters Hill and Neutral Bay also rate highly.
